Florida Chapter 509 is the correct reference because Florida classifies vacation rentals under public lodging laws, and DBPR confirms vacation rental licensing falls under its Hotels and Restaurants division. Florida Statute 475.011 also includes an exemption for renting or advertising, for transient occupancy, a public lodging establishment licensed under Chapter 509.
